REFERRAL PARTNER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Effective Date: 17 April 2026​

1. Eligibility

​

The Referral Partner Program is open to approved people, businesses, clubs, organisations, and communities who can introduce suitable customers to 4x4 Explorer Adventures.

​

This may include:

​

• Past guests and personal referrers

• Travel agents and tour operators

• Content creators, influencers, and micro-influencers

• Outdoor, overlanding, camping, or vehicle-related businesses

• Accommodation and tourism businesses

• Approved 4WD clubs and organisations

​

We are looking for genuine referral partners with an audience, customer base, community, or personal network that may be interested in guided 4WD adventures, overlanding, remote travel, or unique New Zealand experiences.

​

All referral partners must be approved by 4x4 Explorer Adventures before taking part in the program.​

​

2. Participation Requirements and Restrictions

 

To keep the program fair and protect its integrity:

​

• Referral partners may not refer themselves.

• Referral partners must not create false, misleading, or artificial bookings.

• Referral partners must not use referral links or codes only to obtain a personal discount or financial benefit for their own booking.

• Referral partners must not make promises, offer discounts, or promote special deals unless approved by 4x4 Explorer Adventures.

• Referral partners must not use spam, misleading marketing, fake accounts, or any method that could damage the reputation of 4x4 Explorer Adventures.

• Referral partners must represent 4x4 Explorer Adventures honestly and accurately.

Failure to follow these requirements may result in referral rewards being withheld or the referral partnership being ended.

3. Referral Reward & Payouts

​

Approved referral partners receive $500 NZD per eligible confirmed vehicle booking that comes through their approved referral link or code.

​

Referral rewards are paid only when:

​

• the booking is for an eligible trip;

• the customer used the approved referral link or code, or clearly named the referral partner at the time of enquiry or booking;

• the booking has been confirmed by 4x4 Explorer Adventures; and

• the customer has paid for the trip in full.

​

Referral rewards are not paid on cancelled, refunded, unpaid, or incomplete bookings.

​

Payouts are made after final payment has been received from the referred customer.

​

4. Valid Referrals

​

A referral will usually be considered valid only if:

​

• the referred customer was introduced to 4x4 Explorer Adventures by the referral partner;

• the referral was recorded before or at the time of enquiry or booking;

• the referred customer was not already booked or in active discussions with 4x4 Explorer Adventures before the referral was made;

• the referral was genuine and made in good faith; and

• the booking meets the program requirements.​

Referral rewards cannot usually be added retrospectively to bookings or enquiries already in progress.

​

5. Marketing & Branding

​

Referral partners may share 4x4 Explorer Adventures with their audience, customers, community, or contacts in a way that suits them, provided the promotion is honest and accurate.

​

Referral partners must not:

​

• misrepresent our trips, prices, inclusions, availability, safety standards, or services;

• use unapproved claims, guarantees, discounts, or special offers;

• use our name, logo, images, or content in a misleading way;

• run paid advertising using our brand name, website, or trademarks without prior written approval.

​

Referral partners are expected to disclose their relationship with 4x4 Explorer Adventures where required by applicable advertising, consumer, or disclosure laws.

​

6. Good Faith Partnership

​

The Referral Partner Program is based on trust, honesty, and genuine recommendations.

​

We expect referral partners to promote 4x4 Explorer Adventures in good faith and in a way that protects the reputation of the business, our guests, and the experience we provide.

​

7. Termination

​

4x4 Explorer Adventures may suspend or end a referral partnership at any time if a partner:

​

• misuses the program;

• breaches these terms and conditions;

• makes misleading or inaccurate claims;

• acts in a way that may damage the reputation of 4x4 Explorer Adventures;

• uses the program for self-referrals, false referrals, or dishonest financial gain.

​

If the referral partnership is ended because of misuse or breach of these terms, unpaid referral rewards may be withheld.

​

8. Changes to the Program

​

4x4 Explorer Adventures may update or change the Referral Partner Program, referral reward, eligibility rules, or these terms and conditions at any time.

​

Where practical, referral partners will be notified of significant changes by email. Continued participation in the program after changes have been made means you accept the updated terms.

​
